For our international Client from steel and mining industry, we are looking for LEAD BUYER who has experience in purchasing energy.
In this position you will be the point of contact of the Energy team in Poland and will work very closely with teams based in Paris and Luxembourg.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Tracking and analyzing changes and energy needs- on this basis, proposing and obtaining the most competitive energy supply (electricity, natural gas, industrial gases, alternative reducers…);
•Responsibility for negotiation/development of energy contracts/projects for natural gas, electricity, power plants, industrial gases;
•Participate in regular meetings between users/suppliers to monitor contract performance;
•Coordinate projects developed by Energy team and local support;
•Knowledge and mastery of the European energy legal framework (market design, energy transport, energy storage, renewable energy directives etc.);
•Being the point of contact for transport, tax and state-aids;
•Creating and maintaining related tools for expense tracking and cost optimization;
•Supporting the Polish energy manager at plant level on state-aid scheme and tax issues (≈20 plants);
•Participate in and/or coordinate meetings with energy experts;
•Support and cooperation with other departments in the company.
EMPLOYER REQUIREMENTS:
•Master’s degree in economic, engineering or related;
•Fluent in both English and Polish;
•At least 8 years of experience in procurement (including 3 years in Energy’s purchasing department);
•Knowledge in the field of energy;
•Proficiency in Office Databases (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
•Strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
•Able to communicate effectively;
•Team player;
•Working autonomously and taking initiative;
•Strong critical thinking/analytical skills.
